Club World Cup - Semi-final
Fluminense (Brazil) 0 vs. 2 Chelsea (England)
Joao Pedro, I am moved, I am excited, I like. Chelsea took on Fluminense in the semi-finals last night and it was a Joao Pedro masterclass in finishing. Overall Chelsea played really well and everyone put in a good performance but Joao Pedro my god. The first goal came in the 18th minute after a clearance from Thiago Silva landed at Pedro’s feet. Pedro from outside of the box made space and then curled in a beautiful shot to give Chelsea the lead. He didn’t celebrate because Fluminense was his first major club and they gave him the opportunity to become a professional football player. We could have scored a couple more in the first half but Fluminense’s defence did well and they had chances themselves with Cucurella clearing one from the line.
In the second half it was more of the same but Joao Pedro decided he wanted to show more. In the 56th minute after some good work from Palmer in midfield Enzo passed the ball to Pedro and he dribbled into the box and cut on to his right foot and blam he shot the ball into the net with so much power no one could have saved it, it even came off the crossbar to add to the aesthetics. It was finishing I haven’t seen in a long time. Enzo Fernandez looked like he was alive as he celebrated with Pedro. Jackson came off the bench and did the dribbling part well but his finishing again wasn’t there and Palmer got frustrated. Caicedo had to come off with some injury but hopefully he is fit for the final. All the credit goes to Maresca and the players, to reach the Club World Cup final when we weren’t favourites is crazy. The youngest team as well. On to the final, it’s going to be PSG or Real Madrid but hey it’s a final and anything can happen. You have to play the best to be the best, COME ON CHELSEA!!!.

Club World Cup - Semi-final
Paris Saint Germain (France) vs. Real Madrid (Spain)
It’s a big one as the current Champions League winners take on last seasons Champions League winners. PSG are probably the best team in the world right now and Real Madrid have started to click under Xabi Alonso as the tournament has progressed. It’s going to be a really fun game with the likes of Mbappe, Dembele, Bellingham, Doue, etc. Anyone can reach the final from these two.
Transfer Gup Shup
Leandro Paredes has left AS Roma to join Boca Juniors.
Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka progressed to the semis at Wimbledon. Today Swiatek is in action along with Djokovic and Sinner. Sinner plays Ben Shelton and that is going to be a really good match. Hopefully Sinner has sorted his elbow issues for this match.
Have a great day everyone!
