Matchday Preview
Club World Cup - Semi-final
Fluminense (Brazil) vs. Chelsea (England)
The first semi-final comes to us from the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey as Fluminense take on Chelsea. Chelsea have played Flamengo, Palmeiras so far and we play yet another Brazilian team. Jorginho, Estevao and now Thiago Silva. Silva has led by example for Fluminense so far and at 40 he is keeping their defence tight. Chelsea have Caicedo and James back for this game but Lavia could still be out. Liam Delap will also miss out having picked up multiple yellow cards. Joao Pedro showed he can step up while Nicolas Jackson if given a start has a point to prove because at the moment he could see himself become third choice striker. The atmosphere will be crazy and Fluminense will give it their all but so will the Chelsea players. As always COME ON CHELSEA!!!
Transfer Gup Shup
Anthony Elanga is set to join Newcastle United for 55m pounds from Nottingham Forest.
Theo Hernandez will join Al-Hilal from Paris Saint Germain for 25m euros.
Djokovic fought hard to De Minaur yesterday to reach the Wimbledon quarters while Sinner also reached the quarters but because Dimitrov had to retire from the match. Dimitrov led the match having won the first two sets but tore his right pectoral muscle in the third set and had to forfeit. Really unlucky for him but Sinner will now play Ben Shelton in the quarters. Iga Swiatek also cruised into the women’s quarters winning in straight sets.
Alcaraz and Sabalenka are in action today at Wimbledon and then Chelsea’s game is at 12:30 am.
Have a great day everyone!
