Weekend Football Review
Club World Cup - Final
Chelsea 3 vs. 0 Paris Saint Germain
Billion pound world champions!!! Coming into this game everyone was like Chelsea had an easier run and now they will play the best team in the world in PSG and they will find out. Fair enough, PSG thrashed Real Madrid and even I said they are the best. Chelsea though, Chelsea had other plans in mind. From Enzo Maresca shutting down a journalist in the press conference, to Colwill saying we are different, to Reece saying we will win. Chelsea were locked in from the first minute. PSG were shell shocked and Chelsea didn't put the brakes on. The first goal came in the 22nd minute as Gusto went through on the right hand side and his shot deflected into Palmer’s path and he finessed the ball into the bottom right corner. The second goal came in the 30th minute after Palmer dribbled through on goal and once again cut in on his left and scored an identical goal. Palmer then played in Joao Pedro who chipped Donnaruma for a third in the 43rd minute. I was in cloud nine, I am in cloud nine. It is the best half of football I have seen Chelsea play in years. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. This was PSG the European champions and we just spanked them in 45 minutes.
The second half was more of a defensive performance and Sanchez put in the performance of his life in a Chelsea shirt. The shock continued on my end. Liam Delap came on and could have scored a brace if not for Donnaruma. I will write my Chelsea review now because there is so much I want to talk about but I need to go to work, but CHELSEA ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS FOR FOUR YEARS!!! Everyone from the starting XI to players like Santos, etc who came off the bench, it was an elite performance. We beat PSG and we deserve it, no one can chat to us. We have won it all and Enzo Maresca lets go win it all again. COME ON CHELSEA!!!
Transfer Gup Shup
Noni Madueke has sealed his move to Arsenal and watched Chelsea become World Champions from his home in London.
Robert Firmino has joined Al Sadd from Al Ahli.
Jordan Henderson has signed for Brentford.
Stefano Pioli has signed for Fiorentina as their new manager.
Djordje Petrovic has signed for Bournemouth from World Champions Chelsea.
Crystal Palace will play Conference League football next season rather than Europa League football.
It was a crazy weekend of sports. Iga Swiatek became Women’s Wimbledon Champion in emphatic fashion winning 6-0 6-0. She has the potential to start a new era. Jannik Sinner beat Novak Djokovic on Friday night and then beat Carlos Alcaraz, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to win his first Men’s Wimbledon title. Sinner and Alcaraz will dominate mens tennis for years to come. They are insane.
Have a great Monday everyone!
