Southampton 1 vs. 2 Liverpool
Redmond scored in the 13th minute to give Southampton the lead but Liverpool equalised through Minamino in the 27th minute. Matip scored the winner in the 67th minute. It was a second string Liverpool team but they got the job done. Southampton remain 15th with the a third successive loss. Liverpool go back to within a point of City heading into the final day.
Aston Villa 1 vs. 1 Burnley
Barnes scored a penalty in the 45th minute to give Burnley the lead. Buendia equalised for Villa in the 48th minute. Lowton was sent off for Burnley in extra time. The pressure was on Burnley and they couldn't find the winner. Villa drop down to 14th in the table with the draw while Burnley move out of the relegation zone with the point and into 17th on goal difference.
Everton 3 vs. 2 Crystal Palace
Mateta and Ayew scored in the first half to give Palace a 0-2 lead and make it seem like Everton were heading for another defeat. Lampard must have given some team talk because Keane scored in the 54th minute to give Everton a chance. Richarlison equalised for Everton in the 75th minute. Calvert-Lewin then scored the winner for Everton in the 85th minute to seal the win and safety for the team this season. Fans ran onto the pitch there was a party and it was relief for everyone around. Everton seal 16th in the table and go four points clear of Burnley. Palace drop down to 13th in the table.
Europa League Final
Rangers took on Frankfurt in Seville for the Europa League final. Rangers took the lead but Frankfurt equalised to come back into the game. Neither team could find the winner and the game headed to penalties. Frankfurt won on penalties 5-4 with Aaron Ramsey missing the crucial penalty for Rangers after specifically coming on to take one. A momentous occasion for Frankfurt and having finished mid table in the Bundesliga they will be playing Champions League football next season.
